Join the Brigance Brigade Foundation on Sunday, April 29th, 2018 at 9 am for the 4th annual BBF 5.7K Championship Event at Baltimore’s beautiful Canton Waterfront Park (3001 Boston St, Baltimore, MD 21224).

 

In 2018, we #RaceforALS to honor former Baltimore Raven O.J. Brigance as he manages over a decade of living with ALS; more than a decade of embodying that All Things Are Possible Fighting ALS.

 

In solidarity with his tremendous strength and service, we will race, run, walk, stroll, roll, and raise funds for ALS families, just in time to kick off the month of May -- ALS Awareness Month. Join us!  

In honor of O.J. Brigance's jersey number (#57), the 5.7k Championship Event features:

 

  • Timed 5.7k run/walk ($40 pre-registration, $45 April 29-30th)
  • 1.57 mile run/walk ($35 pre-registration, $40 April 29-30th)

ABOUT THE BRIGANCE BRIGADE FOUNDATION 

 

The foundation was founded by former Baltimore Raven, O.J. Brigance and his wife, Chanda. O.J. Brigance is currently the Director of Player Engagement for the Baltimore Ravens and was a key player for the Ravens during the Super Bowl XXXV Winning Season of 2000.

 

He was diagnosed with ALS in 2007, and we honor his decade of dedication to the ALS community. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Brigance Brigade Foundation which equips, encourages and empowers people living with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). The Brigance Brigade Foundation improves the quality of life for ALS patients and their families by providing access to much-needed equipment, support services, and resource guidance.

is an event put on to raise money for a family whose child has a life-threatening disease or disability. This year, we will be raising money for Mia Frank and family. The money raised will help the Franks pay for Mia’s care associated with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  #milesformia #miastrong

This will be the 3rd Annual Spencerville Adventist Academy(SAA) 5K Cross-Country Style Race and Fun Run that will take place in the midst of Spring on our beautiful Campus. Spencerville Adventist Academy originally opened in 1943 down the street from our current location where our new State of the Art School facility was completed in 2011.

All Race participants will receive a complimentary Race T-shirt, along with a beautiful finisher's medal to commemorate this event, and a free brunch. There will be a trophy awards ceremony for the winners in each category immediately after the race is over.


There will also be a post-race event with several vendor booths that include Health Screening Services and a Silent Auction Table to bid on some nice items and other great things but you will have to come out to the event to see for yourself.

InnerCounty Outreach's "5K to Fight Obesity" will take place for the second year in Aberdeen's Festival Park on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 8:00 am.  Don't miss out on some early summer fun before the heat kicks in!  Runners and walkers are welcome to participate.  This 5K will be professionally chip-timed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing, the same company that brings the Bunny Run, Cats & Bats 5k, and the Reindeer Run to Aberdeen!

This USATF Certified Course course will take you through the streets of historic Aberdeen, MD and back to the park.  See the course map for details.

This event is RAIN OR SHINE, and no refunds are available for any reason.

Run or Walk 1 Mile - $15 per person until April 1st.  $20 April 1st and after, includes event shirt (register by April 20th to guarantee your shirt size.  Registration remains open until May 4.

This will be the 3rd Annual Spencerville Adventist Academy(SAA) 5K Cross-Country Style Race and Fun Run that will take place in the midst of Spring on our beautiful Campus. Spencerville Adventist Academy originally opened in 1943 down the street from our current location where our new State of the Art School facility was completed in 2011.

All Race participants will receive a complimentary Race T-shirt, along with a beautiful finisher's medal to commemorate this event, and a free brunch. There will be a trophy awards ceremony for the winners in each category immediately after the race is over.


There will also be a post-race event with several vendor booths that include Health Screening Services and a Silent Auction Table to bid on some nice items and other great things but you will have to come out to the event to see for yourself.

This is our third year running an event of this caliber to support our School and Adventist Education.  Please register early and secure your spot for this fantastic event. Please contact cmills@spencerville.org for details.
